Don't tell anyone I told you, but rumor has it that there is a series at ignite is called Zip It. I heard they are talking about gossip, how damaging it can be and why we do it. Then someone else told me they're talking about criticism and complaining and how powerful our words can be and how we can use them positively instead of negatively. Can you believe that?

What keeps you from following God? In this one week series, Troy Comer (Family Life and College Pastor) speaks on the "rebellious relationships" that keep us from doing to things that God has called us to do.

We’re all held hostage by something...what is your captor? Maybe it’s fear, pride, lust, or even jealousy. The good news is that our ransom has been paid in full. Join us for Hostage and discover how to truly break free, once and for all, from the ties that bind.

FANATIC-Ask yourself the question, “What do I worship?” You might be surprised by the answer. Do you spend the same time and energy toward God as you do with sporting events, concerts or even your Wii? Are you as fanatical about showing your praise for God as you are about showing off your house? If not, then maybe you’re worshiping the wrong things.

By definition, the word overhaul means to rebuild, make repairs or adjustments to. Overhauling happens every day of your life and most of the time you don’t even think about it as an overhaul. When you get up in the morning, you overhaul the way you look in order to look good around other people. You eat throughout the day in order to change your feelings of hunger. There are also deeper issues that cause you to make adjustments or repairs. Whenever you don’t feel like a relationship is working out, you make changes. Whenever you need to bring your grades up, you start working harder. Whenever you feel overwhelmed, you rework your schedule. Whenever things don’t work out exactly as you planned, you’ll make whatever repairs are needed.  Overhauling is also a part of the Christian life. There are times when you need to stop, step back, and make adjustments/repairs to your relationship with God. In this series focused on how you can begin the process of overhauling your relationship with God.

We’ve all probably been mistaken for someone other than who we are and this usually happens because we have a similar physical appearance to another person. But what if you were mistaken for Jesus? This has nothing to do with your physical appearance, but by the way others see you living your life. In this series we will study a portion from each of the Gospels in order to catch a glimpse into the life of Jesus. We will discover that He was committed to God’s will, compassionate toward the weak, consumed with man’s salvation, and confrontational with the hypocritical. These discoveries will lead us closer to understanding the qualities needed to be mistaken for Jesus.

In a few weeks many of you will walk out of your school for the last time leaving empty halls and classrooms.  So, what does it take to face this next phase of your life? I believe a student must be directed by purpose, driven by passion, and devoted to the path. In fact, these principles should not only guide our future, but they should characterize our daily life, whether you are a senior or a freshman.  Throughout this three week series we will carefully examine selected parables of Jesus found in the gospels.

Questions! Questions! We all have questions and we all want answers.  This series will answer some of the questions people have about God and the things of God such as:  Why do bad things happen to good people?   Why is this happening to me? Is there really life after death? How do I know for sure? and Do you hear me when I pray?

Putting puzzles together can be one of the most frustrating things!  The picture on the box of the puzzle looks really spectacular, but when you dump all the pieces out you realize that it is going to take hard work to complete the project.  Following the plans of God can sometimes resemble putting together a puzzle…we know what God expects us to look like, but it seems like there are so many pieces needed in order to arrive at the finished project.
